The Gulf of Suez is a mature petroleum basin that has been in production since the 1980s. The area has traditionally been a regarded as a prolific petroleum basin where exploration has been slowed down by complex geology and presence of salt bodies that impede seismic imaging. The Gulf of Suez multi-client data was acquired during 2019 with support from Neptune Energy and Schlumberger (WesternGeco) and cover an area of approximately 300 square kilometers. The multi-client survey was acquired in a hybrid survey configuration, combining high density OBN with short streamers for near surface imaging. The multi-client area is near the Ramadan oil fields and several drilling campaigns are planned during the coming years.
